Editorial Policy
Everything on a page should trace back to a source. When we don't know something, the page says so instead of guessing.

Prices
A price comes from a retailer's listing, shown in that retailer's currency. A manufacturer's recommended price is labelled RRP and is never shown as a selling price.
We don't estimate, average or convert a price and present it as a listing.
Specs and product names
A spec appears only when we hold a value for it. Many products have none yet, and their pages show only what we have rather than filling the gaps.
Product names and brands come from retailer feeds and are cleaned up by rules that we test against real listings. If a product is filed under the wrong brand or has a garbled name, tell us.
Brand descriptions
Some short brand descriptions are drafted with the help of a language model, from the products that brand makes. Company facts such as a founding year, country or owner appear only when we have checked them on a source page. A brand without a description of its own is kept out of search results until it has one.
Sites and events
Sites are added from operators' own submissions, OpenStreetMap and operators' websites, and are checked before they are published. Events come from organisers' published calendars and from submissions. Finished and cancelled games are not shown as bookable.
Legal guides
Guides that touch the law (UKARA, the Violent Crime Reduction Act, two-tone rules, rules in other countries) are written from primary sources: the legislation itself and the official scheme pages. They are reviewed before publication and carry the date they were last checked.
They explain the rules; they are not legal advice. If you are unsure, ask the police firearms licensing team for your area or a solicitor.
Independence
No brand, retailer, site or organiser pays to be listed or to be placed higher. How we would be paid by retailers, if ever, is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Email the page link and what should change via the contact page, or use the Feedback button on any page. We correct the record at its source, so the fix also holds after the next daily update.
