Airsoft AEGs
An AEG (automatic electric gun) uses a battery-powered motor and gearbox to pull back a spring-loaded piston, which fires each BB with a puff of air.
AEGs are the most common guns at skirmish sites: they work in any weather, a charged battery lasts a day's play, and parts and tech support are easy to find. Most first guns are AEGs.
The catalogue lists 3,436 AEGs; the brands with the most are CYMA, G&G, WE, Specna Arms and Umarex. 73 list a stock FPS.
